These pads are thin and almost like a thin sheet of cardboard. They are a lot thinner than I thought they would be, so to try it out I put some ordinary tap water in the kitchen sink, put the plug in, there was probably just over a litre of water. Then dropped one sheet in the water, within a very short time it had turned into a gel. I spooned it out as wasn't sure about it going in the septic tank. The pads measure 10 x 10 cm square and they absorb up to one litre of liquid. The box contains 100 thin pads.

Do not look like much when pulled out of packet. Just 10cm x 10cm pads. Absorbtion rate is very good though. Worked perfectly during recent bout of norovirus to soak up diarrhea when the toilet was just that little bit too far away.To use just place over liquid to be absorbed and wait. Can drip so have garbage bag to hand.

So one of our dogs, has a little bit of an "issue" and although she does take meds which help tremendously, she does still have the odd little accident, and when she does, oh my does she......these however make clearing up afterwards a hell of a lot easier. No I have measured to see, if there is a litre of "accident" on the floor, but there is certainly less there, than a pad can handle, saving me a lot of time trying to sop it up with kitchen towel. The only real downside is these are a lot more expensive than kitchen towel, but for the added convenience and time saved I think it's a price worth paying.

You get a box of little chalky pads, and each absorbs a litre of fluid.We put some in the car and these have proved very useful for spills and also when someone left the window open in the rain!!Obviously not cheap but these are invaluable if you have kids or puppies or very elderly relatives.... Particularly good to throw on a "situation" while you run and grab rubber gloves and a roll of kitchen towel or search for cloths that you don't mind ruining.They work and make clean-up a lot easier.

Great for accidents and spills, these super absorbent pads do their job perfectly well. They're quite small at 10cm x 10cm, but they can hold a lot for their size. They're very ideal for keeping handy when caring for someone, as their small size makes them quite portable too.With 100 pads included in this pack, I think they're good value at just under £24.Highly recommend!

Perfect for cleaning up liquid spills quickly. Can absorb up to 1 litre which is much better than going through a ton of paper wipes.I have a dog who has the occasional accident and I’m always dropping cups , pots and bowls full of liquid so will be usefulObviously perfect for mopping up other accidental bodily fluidsWould be very useful in a medical setting given that these types of environments are a magnet for germs and infections with all the various bodily fluids in abundance.Once the liquid is absorbed you get a gelatinous like texture.10sq centimetres for each one. There is also a larger size at double the current one.The pads can be macerated or put in a clinical waste in a clinical setting but for home usethere is no mention about how to dispose. Especially if it were just used to soak up water. Would that go in a recycling bin or general rubbish!!The pads come in a plastic bag in a box. It would be best to store away from any liquids so as not to activate the gel which forms when the pad is wetA bit pricey at £23+ so not something I’d personally buy for home

These gel pads have been the perfect solution for my kids who get travel sick easily. One pad absorbs about 1 litre of fluid. The maximum amount an adult vomits is about 800ml, so one pad in a plastic food bag makes for a cheap vomit bag (about a third of the price of a standard vomit bag).It absorbs all of the liquid in a few seconds and makes sure the contents can’t spill. It also helps with the smell. Just be sure to close the bag securely and dispose of in the general waste.These pads can’t absorb anything oily and can get “gummed up” with solids.The box contains them all in one plastic bag, so be careful to keep this box away from liquids because a spill into the box will ruin them all.
