Great product.I expected actual granules but it looks like a salt rather.Expectation aside, it works really good on spilt fluids, which are then easy to sweep or remove with paper towels.Pricey but effective.

I ordered this to use in bed pans, as a carer who provides home care this is ideal for absorbing liquids.Only a small amount is needed as it’s very absorbent and removes the risk of spillages or room odour from liquids evaporating into the air.It’s a great hygiene product and it’s what they use in hospitals.

The product is effective and used on time and vomit produced by preschool aged children! The packaging makes it easy enough to use but I thought it would be a bigger pack, this is my mistake as I should have worked out how much I would get based on the advertisement.The container is easy enough to store and easy to use.

The product functions well and absorbs a lot of liquid.However, the granules are very small and end up getting stuck under the twisty lid. This makes a small gap under the twisty lid, which means the granules can spill out of the tub even with the lid closed.

These definitely absorb moisture. I put them on a wet carpet in my car, they absorbed the wet over some weeks but not instantly. I dare say if you put them into water they would absorb it quickly.

Used this for my camping trips to use in my box toilet.Works a treat, absorbs well and there’s no awful toilet smell.Does what it says on the tin 😊

I recently tried Datesand Group Super Absorbent Granules and I'm impressed! These granules effectively locked in moisture and controlled odors in my pet's litter box, significantly reducing mess and hassle. They are easy to use and really live up to their name. A fantastic product that truly delivers on its promise!

The gel arrived packed inside a sturdy cardboard tube with plastic pouring top and metal base, to prep it for use you just need to press the prepared plastic section into the tube and spin the cap to your preferred opening of the three provided and lightly sprinkle it over the intended liquid. It works really quickly, and it turns annoying and sometimes difficult to deal with messes that you’d be throwing dozens of paper towels at into something that can be quickly and easily scooped up and discarded with a fraction of the waste or effort, saving you time and minimising the risk of any cross-contaminations etc.It is admittedly quite expensive for a small quantity of granules but given that you only need to use a tiny bit of it for most spills, a small 475g shaker should absorb a frankly absurd amount of liquid if you’re careful while shaking it out and using the right opening in the lid. The extra cost also comes from the fact that this is a medical grade certified absorbent intended and expected to be used for medical waste containing bodily fluids of all types. So that inevitably means it’s held to a different standard than plain sodium polyacrylate granules you could buy on their own.No complaints other than it being a bit pricey (£17.95) for a single container of the stuff, happy to recommend it if you need something on hand that can handle water based liquids and bodily fluid spills. If you aren’t necessarily concerned about getting the NHS approved stuff you can absolutely get several times the quantity for the same amount of money though. Though if you can justify the expense these are very effective absorbent granules.

Datesand Group Super Absorbent Granules, 475g Shaker Pot: I’ve previously used this at work in the NHS (blood spill) we used to get this in smaller sprinkle sachets and a little goes a very long way and makes, what might be an unpleasant mess, very much easier to deal with.While the ticket price appears expensive, at 10g of product absorbing up-to a litre of fluid, it makes the tub a good buy. Thankfully not had to use this as yet but, as long as it’s kept dry and airtight, I’m confident it’ll do the trick and reduce a chore if I do need to use it.

I chose this product because I have a puppy, and despite being potty trained, the occasional accident is inevitable, particularly when he's overexcited.The granules are user-friendly; even a small quantity can soak up a significant amount of liquid and neutralise bad odours well. Although a single bottle may be pricey, it's a time-saver when it comes to cleaning and offers a quick solution that's incredibly useful in a busy household.I always wear protective gloves and ensure there's no skin contact when handling this product. I also avoid using it outdoors to prevent the superabsorbent polymers, which are potent chemicals, from contaminating my garden soil or plants.

Yes, it’s not cheap for the amount of dry granules you get but if you calculate how much liquid you manage per £1 spent, it quickly becomes very reasonable, especially if you only keep it for emergencies.I’m actually very pleased with this.My first use is for my car boot….I have a leak somewhere and there’s water filling up my wheel well which obviously I’m not pleased about but until I manage to get this investigated and fixed, I have the granules to help me manage the moisture/puddle before it gets out of hand. Very happy that I don’t have to drain my boot every time it rains although I must keep an eye on it as I don’t want it to expand like popcorn , heh.As another reviewer pointed out (thank you) , it’s important we dispose of it properly as the very role of the product directly impairs nature in many ways if disposed of carelessly.

We have a young(ish) dog who really should have grown out of peeing in the house, but sadly she hasn't got the memo yet. These granules make it much easier to clean up the mess from our wood floor. So much better than endless mopping up with paper towels. A few granules absorb a huge amount of liquid so they should last a long time - hopefully until the dog figures out she needs to go outside!

Seller's images are confusing as they show multiple tubs of granules, but you do only get one for the current price of £17.95, which I consider to be expensive.I picked this up for quick absorption on my laminate flooring - just in case - as I had adopted a new kitten and wasn't sure how litter trained she was.They do absorb well, but then you have to deal with the absorbed granules so you sweep them up with a dustpan and brush to dispose of in the bin. More effective than kitchen roll for loose liquids as it stops them spreading quickly.Effective, but due to the cost > benefit, I can't personally see it's a 5 star product. It was good to have in for the early adoption stage but I personally wouldn't buy again at this price for around the house.

I can’t believe how much liquid a few granules can absorb. The granules work both ways - so if liquid is added to them, or if you add them to liquid. I have so far found them very useful for cat vomit, they made clearing it up off laminate flooring a lot easier, I haven’t tried them on carpet yet but would expect the same result - something that is easy to scoop up. A few granules go a long way - you don’t need much to congeal the liquid. I would definitely recommend.

This arrives packaged very much like table salt, in a cardboard tube with a rotatable plastic lid that allows you to select your preferred form of dispersal.The contents are SAP (Super Absorbent Polymer), which is the same stuff that is used in disposable nappies and similar products.It is very effective at absorbing (and retaining) significant quantities of fluid, so really well-suited to clearing spills of any kind - but particularly if they are substances that you would prefer not to be trying to clear up by hand.

'Super Absorbent Polymer'... Expiry 07/2027.Price at the time of this review was £17.95 for one can (despite them showing 12 cans in their first photo). It seems expensive, but think of what it could save... ruined carpet, or furniture - every home should have a can of this, for those accidents that come out of nowhere. I wish I had a can when me and hubby both got Norovirus, would've made it much easier to manage the mess, what a nightmare that was. If this is kept in a home environment, needs to be well away from kids (ideally it should have a safety cap on it - imagine how quickly it would expand and cause a child to choke if any of this got in their mouth). Also, I did a bit of research as I've not come across this type of product before and: "What are the side effects of super absorbent polymers?When these chemicals are released into soil or water, they can harm plants, animals & humans. As superabsorbent polymers are designed to absorb liquid, this means they can also prevent water from reaching plant roots or natural water sources, this can have hugely negative impacts on ecosystems and water availability." So, we need to be very careful how we dispose of this stuff...

This review is for the item described as “Datesand Group Super Absorbent Granules - SafetyGel 475g Shaker Pot Ideal for Absorbing Large Spills of Liquids, Aqueous Materials, Urine, Vomit, Blood and Mucus”.This is magical stuff. The container is a little bit smaller than a tube of Pringles with a pour or shake lid attached to help dispense the right amount to absorb whatever has been spilt. 10g is only about two teaspoons which can be added to the bottom of a bin bag in a camping loo and will soak up a whopping 1 litre of liquid. I’ll not get too hung up on measuring things exactly - it works so quickly that if there isn’t enough I’ll add more and if there is too much it can mop up another wee! This is so much more compact to take with us when space is tight in our campervan than the comode pads or large bag of cat litter we currently use. Until our next trip away, it will be kept in easy reach for dealing with pet accidents. The resulting solid is easy and discrete to dispose of. I wish I’d known about this stuff years ago.

These granules absorb a lot of liquid very quickly so they are perfect for cleaning up all kinds of messes. According to the instructions, 5g (about 1 tsp) will soak up 1 litre of liquid.As a bit of a strange DIY project, I made some portable “toilets” using these granules. A healthy bladder holds about 700ml max, so I figured about 1 tsp in a leakproof bag (some cheap food bags) makes for a good emergency toilet for keeping in the car/handbag. It’s great for anyone with kids or a weak bladder.Men have an easier job using these (for obvious reasons) but these can be used with a she-wee.My father-in-law drives tankers and has often complained about limited toilet access on the road. I suggested putting some of the granules in an old, plastic water bottle to make a portable “toilet”. He indulged me, though he was very sceptical. He rang me one day to rave about it. All the conveniences of a urinal without the risk of the bottle spilling and leaking the contents. Also, no smell either. He has recommended this to his friends and will be buying a bottle of these granules for himself. A little goes a long way, so it’s very good value. With the amount in the tub, I can make over 100 “toilets”.The only thing I would say is an issue is that the granules do have quite a strong smell by themselves. If you leave them out, they can smell pretty strong. They are ok if they are in a plastic bag or something else.One more thing, the granules have an expiry date. I ordered mine in September 2024 and they expire in July 2027. I’m not sure what happens when they expire (do the lose their gelling potency?). Still, it’s something to keep in mind.
